Fr. Brian Winter began his ministry at the Sanctuary, Christ’s Episcopal Church in Castle Rock, on Oct. 1, 2015, after serving as Rector at St. Chad’s Episcopal Church in Albuquerque, NM, for ten years. Prior to his tenure at St. Chad’s, he was Associate Rector at Trinity on the Hill in Los Alamos, NM. His first call out of seminary was as Vicar at St. Michael’s in Brigham City, Utah. Fr. Winter graduated from Virginia Theological Seminary in 2002.
Before going into the ordained ministry, Fr. Brian was an award-winning photojournalist for newspapers in Flagstaff and Tucson, AZ, then Provo, UT.
He grew up in Albuquerque and has been married to my beautiful wife for 25 years. They have two boys, 23 and 21-years-old, who are settled in Albuquerque. Fr. Brian enjoys fly-fishing, hiking, skiing, outdoor and nature photography, as well as spending time with his family.
