Pat Fischer, Director of Education
Pat has been a resident of Colorado for over 44 years, moving to Castle Pines in 2011 to be closer to her younger daughter’s family. Her older daughter lives in the Pacific North West with her family. Pat enjoys spending time with her three granddaughters whenever she gets a chance.
Education is a passion of Pat’s. She has a Masters in Special Education and Early Childhood Special Education and has taught both first grade and preschool special education. Working with children of varying disabilities brought Pat much joy as she watched the children progress in their abilities to be more self-sufficient and interact with all the children in school. She completed Godly Play Training in February of 2014.
A cradle Episcopalian, Pat has always been active in her church community. Before coming to Christ’s Episcopal Church, Pat had been a Sunday school teacher, president of ECW, an Usher and a Eucharistic Minister, and she founded a chapter of The Daughter of the King at her previous church. She enjoys the readings of Richard Rohr and Cynthia Bourgeault. The community here at Christ’s Episcopal Church continues to enrich her spirituality. She recently said, “I experience the true living God; I feel the compassion of Christ here. Everything we do in this church is accomplished with passion and intention.” Her goal is to make this community a place where all feel the Christ within.
In her spare time. Pat enjoys crafts of almost any kind, especially knitting and quilting.
