A curriculum for children ages four through third grade
In our specially equipped classroom, children learn the classic rhythm for living modeled in the Bible: a balance of action and reflection, engagement and prayer. The heart of Godly Play is to create sacred space, to build and work in community, and to learn religious language. The stories in Godly Play were chosen especially for children to help them know the sacred stories of our faith from creation to the beginning of the Church. Lessons include the Old and New Testament stories, Baptism, Holy Eucharist, and the liturgical calendar, as well as the Parables of Jesus. Children are invited to respond to the stories by doing what comes naturally: play by developing their spiritual language. Classes begin at 9:15 a.m. each Sunday. If you’re not sure where to go at any time, the greeters in the church will be delighted to provide guidance, answer any questions, or find someone to help you.
