Education for Ministry
Education for Ministry (EfM) is a 4-year program of seminars that invites participants to explore their faith journey in a safe and supportive community through worship, study, holy listening, and theological conversation.
The EfM seminar provides a place to ask questions about the Bible and its message for today, and a place to discuss how we, as followers of Jesus, are called to make a loving impact on the world around us.
The program is designed to develop the participants into theologically informed, reflective, and articulate people of God, able to listen and respond to God’s call.
EfM seminar groups commit to meet once a week for 2-1/2 hours. Particpants can anticipate an additional 2-4 hours of individual study in preparation for each seminar. Each program year runs for 36 weeks, and at Christ’s Church, begins in January, breaks for summer, and concludes in late November. Registration begins in October.
Christ’s Church offers two EfM opportunities:
Tuesdays, 6:30-9:00 PM
Wednesdays, 9:00am-11:30 AM
