Join us on Saturday, May 6th, from 1:00-3:00 PM in the Gathering Place for a Christ’s Episcopal Church History Day!
Come hear our history from parishioners who have been members of Christ’s Church for MANY years. Ed Hier has been a member for 76 years and loves sharing local history. He grew up in the house that our Rector now lives in. His cousin, Peggy Theriault, has been a member here for 74 years, and she was the parish secretary for 40 years. Along with other long-time parishioners, they’ll tell amazing stories. Hear about the growth of Douglas County, the Flood of 1965, the Douglas County Courthouse fire, the history of the rhyolite quarries, and our church beginnings in this one-time quaint rural community.
