Fr. Brian Winter, Rector
The Rev. Brian Winter, D.Min., was called to Christ’s Episcopal Church in October of 2015 as our Priest-in-Charge and in April of 2018 called as our Rector. Fr. Brian has been ordained in the Episcopal Church since January 18, 2003, and since that time has served as a parish priest in Utah, New Mexico, and now Colorado. Brian is a graduate of the Church Development Institute in Colorado and has a doctorate in Congregational Development from Virginia Seminary.
Before coming to Christ’s Church, Brian was rector at St. Chad’s Episcopal Church in Albuquerque, NM for 11 years, and was the Canon for Congregational Life and Development for the Diocese of the Rio Grande. Before going into the ordained ministry Brian was an award-winning photojournalist for newspapers in Arizona and Utah.
Outside of church, Brian enjoys the great outdoors — especially with a fly rod in his hand, exploring one of Colorado’s many rivers and streams with his wife Cheri — as well as photography, hiking, mountain biking, and skiing. Brian and Cheri have two adult sons, both of whom live in Albuquerque and work as auto technicians.
